Health in The News - April 25, 2012: Weight Training Might Slow Cognitive Decline
It's time for health in the news! This weeks story comes from my homeland of Canada. Researchs at UBC in vancouver have found that weight training can slow cognitive decline in persons with dementia. The study quoted shows that women between the ages of 70 and 80 with mild cognitive impairment performed better on memory tests after 6 months of weight training than those who hadn't weight trained.
